Without a shadow of a doubt, it is an exciting time to be a Star Trek fan. Discovery has been approved for a 3rd season, Jean-Luc Picard is returning to the airwaves along with three other Star Trek shows. Fan hype and energy has not been this high in more than a decade.
Bravo Fleet was founded in 1997 during the height of Deep Space Nine and Voyager just as the Dominion War went into full swing. We in the Prime Universe have been without new source material since 2002, and that now seems to be changing. In recent weeks and months, the BFA have been asked on multiple occasions what will happen when CBS returns to the post-TNG/DS9/VOY era. The truth is simply this: We don’t know.
What we can do is centralize and clear up what the fleet considers to be canon, not just from the sense of what was established on screen, but also through hundreds of books, comics, episodes, video games and more. To that end, today, the fleet has officially adopted By-Law #1.3 which outlines not just the basis for our Fleet Canon, but also how future additions will be handled, not just from the trademark holders, but also from our own community.
Our guide has also been posted on the sidebar on the home page, added to our infobase, and pinned in our #canon channel on Discord. Should you have any further questions, or any comments, please see your TFCO or a member of the Command Council.
Live long and prosper!
